Spectra/Chrom® Tubing Cutter

Scissors and razor blades can make uneven or crooked cuts in
laboratory tubing. These defective tubing ends can be difficult
to seal, can fail prematurely, and generally look bad.
The Spectra/Chrom® Tubing Cutter, with its special "V"
shape, holds the tubing in place to produce a sharp, even,
square cut. The carbon steel blade remains sharp for many
cuts, but it can easily be replaced.
The Spectra/Chrom® Tubing Cutter can be used on most flexible tubing 1/2"
(13 mm) in diameter or smaller. It is not for use on metallic tubing.
It is ideally suited for use on Teflon®,
silicone, vinyl, and polyethylene tubing.
Use part
number 123367 for the
tubing cutter and 123368
for a package of 5 replacement blades.
Tubing for laboratory uses
made of a variety of materials, including
silicone, Teflon, vinyl and polyethylene is available
in a variety of sizes ranging from 0.010" ID to
7/16" OD (0.25 mm inner diameter to
11.1 mm outer diameter).
