The S-3 uses a sensitive level sensing circuit to shunt the eluant to waste whenever the output from the system detector exceeds a user set level. After the detector signal returns to baseline, the uncontaminated solvent will be returned to the solvent reservoir to be used again (i.e. recycled). Solvent recyclers are also frequently referred to as "solvent recirculator" because of the way they recirculate the solvent.
The S-3 solvent recycler can work with any detector, including UV absorbance detectors, refractive index detectors, and even mass spec detectors.
The S-3 solvent recycler comes complete with the control console, valve, a signal cable, and fittings for 1/16" OD and 1/8" OD tubing.
The programmed level may be positive only (for use with unipolar detectors like UV absorbance monitors) or both positive and negative (for use with bipolar detectors like RI monitors). The S-3 solvent recycler can handle up to a 50% overrange and continuously displays both its status and the signal level. The recycle valve can also be set manually or by remote control to remain in either the recycle or waste position. A unique Q.A. validation signal continuously monitors the valve's position.
Order as part number 142100 for use in the US (operates on 115V) or part number 142102 for use in Europe (operates on 230/240V).
